Teeling 16 Year Notre Dame Phoenix Legends No. 2 is an ultra-limited Irish single malt created through a collaboration between University of Notre Dame and the Teeling Whiskey Company. The second release in the Phoenix Legends Series commemorates Notre Dame's legendary 1977 "Green Jersey Game," one of the most iconic moments in Fighting Irish football history. Only 1,500 bottles were released for the U.S. market, making it a highly collectible whiskey for both Irish whiskey enthusiasts and Notre Dame fans.

This 16-year-old single malt was initially matured in ex-bourbon casks before spending an additional two years in Sicilian Marsala wine casks. The extended finishing period imparts remarkable richness and complexity, layering fruit, spice, and dessert-like notes onto Teeling's elegant single malt foundation. Bottled at 46% ABV and non-chill filtered, it showcases Teeling's commitment to producing distinctive, flavor-driven Irish whiskey.

NOSE

Honeyed malt, vanilla, toasted oak, dried orchard fruits, hazelnut, blueberry compote, and warm baking spices.

PALATE

Layers of stewed apricot, fig, roasted almonds, orange peel, strawberry jam, caramel, molasses, baked apples, and subtle dark chocolate.

FINISH

Long and elegant with lingering dried fruit, toffee, sweet spice, oak, and gentle Marsala wine sweetness.
