Lagrimas del Valle 2022 “El Chiqueño” from near Amatitán, Jalisco sits adjacent to “Palo Verde” at about 1,260m above sea level with the agaves harvested at an average of 32% brix content. ⁠

El Chiqueño is located South of the Rio Santiago and settled in a low ravine. Its climate is very hot, which has allowed for the growth of mangoes and ciruela - a local varietal of plum with bright acidity. The Plata showcases bold and assertive notes of cooked agave, fresh citrus oil, and nice minerality. The Reposado has a bold and angular profile with notes of canela, ripe mango, and subtle caramel - finishing bright and full with a lightly sweet character. ⁠

TASTING NOTES

NOSE

Cooked agave, fresh citrus oil, olive, mint, earthy minerals, and herbal notes.

PALATE

Sweet cooked agave, grapefruit, black pepper, fresh-cut grass, citrus zest, brine, and pronounced minerality.

FINISH

Long and warming with lingering citrus peel, mint, white pepper, saline notes, and earthy agave sweetness.
