El Gran Legado de Vida Añejo Tequila is an exceptional new release from the Cascahuín distillery that's been making waves in the tequila world. It proudly carries the Additive-Free certification from Tequila Matchmaker, a testament to its purity and craftsmanship.
Crafted from single estate Michoacán agaves, the piñas are steam-cooked in Cascahuín’s traditional stone ovens for three days, then rested for an additional day before being crushed using the distillery’s roller mill.
Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, followed by double distillation: first in a stainless steel alembic still with a copper coil, and then in a copper alembic still with a copper coil.
After resting 15–30 days in stainless steel, the tequila is aged for 18 months in a blend of American oak (ex-bourbon sherry casks) and French oak (ex-Martell VSOP cognac barrels), then masterfully blended and bottled at cask strength.
