CALI Special Reserve American Whiskey

CALI Whiskey is a unique California twist on a classic American sipping whiskey. Building on Marni’s knack for using high proof alcohol to capture distinctive flavors and aromas, we began experimenting with a whiskey we could truly call our own. We let the richness of the oak play against the oils and esters, flavors and aromas drawn from a carefully balanced blend of herbs, spices, and botanicals. After dozens of refinements, by version 85.31 we had created an exceptionally smooth, luxurious, and flavorful sipping whiskey. CALI isn’t a flavored whiskey, but one whose depth and complexity emerge naturally from the steeping and aging process. Its character comes from the organic interaction between rich corn mash, spicy rye, and clean oak, finished with our proprietary blend of botanicals. The response from friends, neighbors, and bars was overwhelmingly positive, confirming it was ready to share. Officially classified by the TTB as “Whiskey Finished with Spices,” we simply call it a “California Twist on American Sipping Whiskey.” CALI is smoother than a frontier whiskey but more complex and flavorful than a traditional bourbon. Meticulously crafted to be approachable yet sophisticated, it’s an easy to drink whiskey with modern character and no pretension. At tastings, we often hear, “I don’t really like whiskey, but I absolutely love this.” CALI is perfect for those just beginning their whiskey journey or for seasoned drinkers looking to break from convention and explore a fresh, contemporary expression of American whiskey. Raise a glass to good times with friends, and savor the warmth and spirit that is CALI.
