Branch Point Trit Straight Oregon Whiskey
Branch Point TRIT Straight Whiskey is made from an original mash bill of locally grown triticale along with rye malt and distillers malt.
Triticale is a natural, non-GMO rye-wheat hybrid developed in the late 1800s in Scotland that combines the spice and complexity of rye with the approachability of wheat. We use a rye/bourbon yeast and ferment in open topped washbacks before a double distillation in traditional copper pot stills. The whiskey is matured in new charred American oak casks. To retain maximum flavor and mouthfeel the whiskey is non-chill filtered and we never use coloring or other additives.
