The Label "Organic"

When alcohol is labeled "organic," it means it has been made with certified organic ingredients and produced according to specific organic farming and processing standards, typically regulated by organizations such as the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). In the U.S., if a bottle of vodka or another spirit carries the USDA Organic seal, it signifies that at least 95% of its ingredients are certified organic and that it complies with strict guidelines from sourcing to bottling. The USDA defines several organic labeling categories: “100% Organic” means all ingredients (excluding water and salt) are certified organic and the product may display the USDA seal; “Organic” means at least 95% of the ingredients are organic and the seal may still be used;

The Label "Made with Organic Ingredients"

“Made with Organic Ingredients” indicates a minimum of 70% organic content and allows organic ingredients to be listed, though the seal cannot be used; and “Some Organic Ingredients” applies when less than 70% of ingredients are organic—no front-label claims are permitted, but organic items may appear on the ingredient list.
