Mezcal Pierde Almas Botanica 9

The Pierde Almas +9 is a unique, groundbreaking release that is both a mezcal and a gin. The double-distilled mezcal base goes through a third distillation with gin botanicals. Some of the nine botanicals are macerated with the mezcal in a copper alembic still for 24 hours, while others are hung in a tea bag in the steam head for additional depth of flavor.

TASTING NOTES

A forest of pine needles and charred wood on the nose, with hints of holiday spice and orange peel. Soft and sweet on entry despite its high proof, developing into a velvety, herbaceous palate with nutmeg, ginger and smoke. The long and dry finish is floral and delicate, with hints of honey, anise and smoke.
