Located on the Clyde, in the coastal Lowlands, this is William Grant & Sons grain facility and was erected after a dispute with Distillers Company Limited, who had previously provided grain for their famous grants blend. William Grant wanted to run a TV ad for Grant's Steadfast Whisky, which DCL was against, the result was the creation of the Girvan distillery. They did it in just 9 months.

Original Coffey stills were used until 1995. Currently the distillery uses 6 column stills for grain production. The distillery also producers the popular Hendrick's Gin and was once the site site for Ladyburn Malt. This is a batch of two barrels, 54689 and 54696, distilled 02/1990 and bottled 04/2021 without chill-filtration or coloring added.

You can expect creamy vanilla, dried fruit, toffee, and oak aromas. On the palate, you'll find more dried fruit with raisin, sultana, and tropical touches along with cereal and honey. The finish has a distinct nutty note along with oak and spice.
