Deep, rich ruby in color and opens with ripe aromas of black cherry, anise, and blackberry, with hints of sage, lavender, oak spice, and smoke. Ripe fruit flavors are focused and intense with toasted oak spice. Broad, chewy tannins and a hint of smoke round out the wine with a lingering finish. In partnership with the Napa County Resource Conservation District, we created the Napa Sustainable Winegrowing Group (NSWG) which holds several annual workshops on topics such as water conservation, quality improvement, cover cropping, erosion control and pest management.
